Meet the Owner
Becky
Hi, I’m the woman behind the wheel of Trigger Warning, the first mobile romance book bus in the Metro of Iowa! What started as a love for romance books turned into a full-blown obsession… and eventually, a mobile bookstore built for readers who want a better way to buy books. Readers who like their stories a little spicy and a lot unapologetic. I created this space for readers who want to escape, explore, and indulge in stories without judgment. Whether you're here for the slow burn or the full-on smut, you're in the right place. So... step into the bus, get a little lost, and don’t worry—I fully support your book choices.

Mission
I created Trigger Warning to revolutionize how readers discover and purchase their favorite books. To eliminate physical barriers of a brick-and-mortar, to provide a judgement free browsing experience, and to give personalized recommendations that the online algorithms can't give you.
I believe everyone deserves a space where they can unwind, escape, and find their way into a really good book—no judgment attached. We could all use a little more love and excitement in our lives! Reading these stories appeals to our human need to feel accepted and loved. Romance books have a way of making us feel seen, confident, and a little bit fearless… and I wanted to bring that experience directly to readers.

This book bus is more than just shelves—it’s a vibe, a getaway, and a reminder to make time for yourself. This is a space for people who are done hiding what they love to read. This is their space to be bold, curious, and completely unapologetic about reading really good books. Because let’s be honest… life’s too short for boring books.

Vision
At its core, Trigger Warning was created to build connection. The vision is two fold:

First, to bring people together through stories—whether that’s at a local pop-up, a private event, or just a spontaneous stop where someone discovers their new favorite book. It’s about creating a welcoming, judgment-free space where readers can share what they love, try something new, and feel completely at ease doing it.

Second, Trigger Warning was created to challenge the idea that romance books should be hidden or downplayed. This bus exists to celebrate them—openly, confidently, and without apology.
It’s a space where your reading choices aren’t questioned… they’re encouraged.
